To construct changemaking strategies, Think Rubix uses a suite of tools housed across three interdisciplinary studios: the Engagement studio; the Equity Innovation studio; and the Storytelling studio. Think Rubix Vice Principal will provide day-to-day management and development to the various teams of the Firm and will guide the idea generation process for the Firm’s Studios.

 

Think Rubix Vice Principal will be responsible for supporting the Managing Director in providing leadership to the Firm’s staff and work. 

To ensure success you should have a clear understanding of our Firm’s core values, particularly the social innovation framework. Top candidates will be exemplary leaders, have superb business acumen, and have a solid understanding of business development.

Goals

  • Minimum of 3 new clients; $250,000 in sales
  • All policy work to come through TR
  • Attendance at Weekly Leadership Call, Assigned Discovery Calls, & All-Teams Call

Responsibilities

  • Identify new growth opportunities inclusive of campaign offerings for the Firm
  • Actively generate new leads and prospective client opportunities for the firm, meeting monthly goals
  • Approve concepts and content for client and internal use
  • Plan high-quality events such as webinars, conferences, in-market events for clients and the Firm
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director to provide oversight and leadership to the Firm’s staff
  • Plan and help facilitate meetings with boards, staff members and other stakeholders

 

  • Provide day-to-day project management across multiple teams
  • Develop and monitor client-specific project work plans and budgets
  • Build client relations, including email and telephone communication, and in-person meetings
  • Research and identify prospective clients, and follow up on leads
  • Prepare for and participate in meetings with prospective clients
  • Serve as a primary representative of the firm to all outside audiences including clients, media, and other stakeholders

Skills

  • 5 - 10 years previous leadership experience in marketing, consulting, political, or with a digital agency
  • 5 - 10 years previous experience in management role(s)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build relationships internally and with prospective client contacts and partners

Preferred Skills

  • 5 - 7 years previous leadership experience in marketing, consulting, political, or with a digital agency
  • 5 - 7 years previous experience in consulting and management role(s)
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration and/or Business Development
  • Experience as an entrepreneur
  • Experience as a “talker” for media outlets
  • Experience with lean experimentation model for non-profit development

Compensation

Compensation includes a competitive salary based on experience and a benefits package that includes health care, paid holidays and vacation, and a generous remote work policy.
