Charles Blake is a political scientist, strategist, entrepreneur, civil servant, and skilledcommunicator. Blake serves as Vice Principal at Think Rubix, where he leads theGovernment Affairs division. Blake became Mayor Frank Scott Jr’s Chief of Staff afterhe stepped down as the Minority Leader of the Arkansas House of Representatives andState Representative for District 36. Blake served three terms in the state legislature,while there he was also elected Minority Whip, and Vice Chair of the Arkansas Legislative Black Caucus. Blake has served as a legislator, a public administrator, andhas managed and led multiple political campaigns.
Blake attended Little Rock Central High School, then graduated from Grinnell College inIowa, majoring in Political Science. After graduation, he returned to Arkansas, where heworked in banking and finance before serving as a founding administrator of Little RockPreparatory Academy, and President of CenArk Transportation. He ran for office in2014, winning a seat in the state House of Representatives. Blake has been named oneof Arkansas’ 250 Most Influential Leaders in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 byArkansas Business.
